Lincoln Theatre to Launch Club Lincoln
The Lincoln Theatre’s second-floor ballroom, originally known as the Ogden Club and a historically significant space for Columbus’ African American and jazz communities, will reopen as Club Lincoln in 2020.
The performance space will offer an intimate experience that will accommodate 150-250 patrons in a variety of venue styles, including theatre-style, performance in the round and club-style. The ballroom has been equipped with a new digital sound and lighting system, and outfitted with acoustical panels to increase sound quality.
The Lincoln Theatre Association will also launch the Club Lincoln concert series, as a platform for local artists that have taken part in the Lincoln’s artist incubation programs. A Club Lincoln concert schedule will be announced at a later point.
“We are excited to take this space back to its roots and offer it to the community as a destination for quality, live music once again,” said Lincoln Theatre Executive Director Suzan Bradford in a press release. “Club Lincoln will take our talented Lincoln incubation artists to the next level, allowing them the opportunity for more creativity and larger audiences.”
Club Lincoln will become available for rent beginning in 2020.
