Lewis Center Soon to See Opening of Olentangy Brewing Company Facility & Taproom

Renovations are beginning soon on a new brewing facility opening later this year in Lewis Center. Olentangy River Brewing Company, started by local entrepreneurs Sarah Wilkins, Scott Schweitzer, Josh Vogel, and Enrique Iglesias, will take over an old warehouse near the corner of Route 23 and Powell Road. It’s located at 303 Green Meadows Drive South.

The warehouse offers enough space for a production brew house and a taproom with an outdoor area.

Inside, a variety of brews will be available that “span the spectrum of tastes,” said Iglesias, who works with Vogel to lead the brewing operations of the business, “from dank New England IPAs, to Imperial Russian Stouts, to light and crisp hand-crafted Pilsners, and everything in between.”

“We truly want to create brews for both beer aficionados and newcomers alike,” he continued.

They’ll have at least 10 Olentangy River Brewing Company beers on tap at all times, along with other local craft beers. Working in partnership with local coffee roasters and food trucks, they’ll have a variety of coffee drinks and dining options available to patrons as well.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring something unique and local to the Polaris and Lewis Center Area, especially to be able to repurpose an old warehouse,” said Schweitzer, co-owner and founder. “Our area has a lot to offer, and we believe people in southern Delaware County will love having a central location to enjoy great local beer, coffee, and food trucks.”

“We noticed that there were a lot of beer loves in our area that were looking for a place to call home,” said Wilkins, co-owner and founder. “After doing a lot of research within the community, it became clear that Lewis Center wants a local craft brewery.”

Renovations will start on the space in mid March, and the team plans to open the doors late this summer.
