After just one day of mourning the loss of the AMC Lennox Town Center 24 movie theater, local film fans can now rejoice. The building will be quickly reborn as a Phoenix Theatre location. The Knoxville-based company issued a press release today unveiling their plans for the relaunch.

“Phoenix Theatres is proud to be able to keep the Lennox Town Center 24 Theatre open for its past patrons who have been loyal customers for over two decades,” stated Phil Zacheretti, president & CEO of Phoenix Theatres Entertainment. “We look forward to continue being the theatre of choice for all OSU students and staff, and the wonderful neighborhood around the theatre.”

The theater is remaining closed for several weeks for organizational changes with a reopening planned in time for Christmas Day releases.

Phoenix Theatres plans to keep much of the staff from the AMC Lennox 24, and the same location features that visitors expected from the original operators. Standard COVID-19 guidelines will remain in place for patrons for the foreseeable future. The press release also noted that ticket prices and concession prices would be comparable to AMC.

The Lennox location will be the first for Phoenix in the state of Ohio. The company currently operates 13 other locations across nine states.
