Poké franchise LemonShark and it’s full-service counterpart Maki Grill will make their way to Ohio via Easton Town Center’s 16-acre expansion.

LemonShark Poké & Maki Grill will offer a menu of Hawaiian-inspired eats spanning its namesake poké to authentic hibachi-style grilled meats, seafood and vegetables. The full bar will serve up island-themed drinks.

LemonShark Poké opened the doors to its first location in Southern California in 2016. The eatery started franchising in 2017, and has now expanded to 20 restaurants across five states, with a number of other locations in development. Columbus will be the second location for sister restaurant Maki Grill which launched to provide LemonShark customers with an expanded dining experience.

“We are absolutely ecstatic about having a flagship store open in Easton – one of the premier lifestyle centers in all of America,” said Tobi Miller, president and co-founder. “This particular location will be totally unique within the brand in that it is a larger format store with localized design elements inspired by the playful esthetic of the new district within Easton Town Center. Dining at LemonShark Poke & Makai Grill at Easton will offer patrons of the Town Center a unique and delicious experience that is not currently available anywhere else in the state of Ohio.”

By combining the two concepts, LemonShark Poké & Maki Grill will have both fast-casual and full-service dining options.

On the fast-casual side is the build-your-own poké experience with a bowl, roll or wonton nacho base. Diners select fresh seafood like Ahi Tuna, Spicy Salmon or Shrimp and dress it up with toppings, sauces and a little bit of crunch. While poké is served cold, Hibachi bowls offer a hot, cooked option, with proteins like Teriyaki Chicken or Garlic Shoyu Hanger Steak.

The Maki side of the eatery will be a full-service experience, although there may be a little DIY cooking involved. Some seats will have table-side grills, providing guests the opportunity to grill their own selection of skewers that span beef, pork, poultry, seafood and veggies. Guests sans grills will have their skewers cooked by the grill experts and then brought to their table.

LemonShark Poké & Maki Grill is aiming for a late fall opening at 3969 Merchant’s Row and will join many other new things that have recently opened at Easton.
