It’s nearly 2014, but some of the public art pieces from 2012’s Finding Time series are still on display for a little bit longer. The five red wireframe cow sculptures that make up Tim Rietenbach’s “Grazing” installation will be coming out of the river near North Bank Park this weekend, which gives you only a few days left to see them in person.
“Finding Time: Columbus Public Art 2012 has had a longer run than expected, but the program of temporary public art in the Downtown will soon draw to a close,” says project director Malcolm Cochran.
Other works still on display include “Columbus never …” by Janet Zweig, which will be removed in November, “Bus to the Future” by Martin Keil & Henrik Mayer, which will also be removed in November, Â and the 18 Urban Plein Air Paintings by members of Central Ohio Plein Air, which will remain on view through the spring when their condition will be evaluated.
Cochran says that new public art projects are already in the works for 2014, and expects to announce further details soon.
