Know Your Neighborhood: Things to Do in Easton

Arguably one of Columbus’ biggest draws, Easton Town Center is an indoor and outdoor shopping complex that hosts outdoor concerts, holidays events, and over nearly 300 retail shops, restaurants, and businesses. Dine, hear live music, or enjoy a nice weekend at the Hilton or HamptonĀ Inn. Regardless, the shopping center and surrounding area has something to do for everyone, and is much more than a place to lug around shopping bags.

Have Kid (and Adult) Fun at Easton Town Center

In February, LEGOLAND broke ground at Easton with a 90,000 LEGO brick drop.

What largely sets Easton Town Center apart from other malls is that it’s not just for shopping and browsing. The Funny Bone Comedy Club’s Easton location hosts local and national talent for the 21 and over crowd, while the LEGOLAND Discovery Center opening in September will have a 4D cinema, two rides, and 10 LEGO build and play zones. Not to mention, AMC’s Dine-In Theaters are always a big draw.

    Check Out Easton Community Events

Year-round, but especially in the summer, Easton’s weekly event schedule is jam-packed. There are taco Tuesdays, live music with Sounds on the Town every Wednesday, game nights every Thursday, free yoga classes on the square Friday mornings with wine tastings in the evenings, and so much more.

    Visit the City of Gahanna

    Creekside Park in Gahanna

Right outside the Easton area is the city of Gahanna, which has a number of things to do in its own right. For eats, stop by The Barn at Rocky Fork for comfort food with an elegant twist, or Cap City forĀ a retro diner experience. For fun, visit Laser Kraze laser tag and trampoline park, or visit Creekside Park forĀ picnicking, paddle boating, and fishing.

    Shop and Dine Local

Another great thing about the Easton area is the ability to dine and shop at companies that started right here in Columbus. Bigger names like Donatos and L Brands (Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works) are of course an option, as well as smaller franchises like Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Homage vintage clothing and apparel, and Zest Juice, a cold-pressed raw juice company, to name a few. Another great place to support local would be theĀ Celebrate Local gift shop in Easton, which has home decor,Ā apparel, coffee, books, and local art from more than 300 small, Ohio-based businesses.
