Kindred Beer Opening Clintonville Tasting Room

The brewery formerly known as Kindred Artisan Ales is working on expanding in multiple ways. In addition to rebranding to Kindred Beer, the Gahanna-based business announced on Friday that they’ll soon be launching a second location in Clintonville.

“Clintonville has a vibe we love — independent, relaxed and friendly,” explained Kindred Beer CEO Kevin Schmudde. “We look forward to being part of the neighborhood.”

Schmudde took the helm as CEO of the company this past fall and has helped with multiple projects in a short amount of time. In addition to the rebranding and expansion, Kindred recently purchased a food trailer for the Gahanna location — which will launch in April — and the brewery will be launching their line of sour beers in the spring.

“This team is passionate about making beer people love, and we’re grateful that Columbus has responded to it,”  added Schmudde. “We’ll keep working to craft a beer — and a brand — that draws people together.”

The Clintonville location will be housed in the former Crestview Market space at 2950 North High Street. Currently, it is slated for a Fall 2017 grand opening.
