Katzinger’s Brings the Deli To You

Katzinger’s Deli in German Village has always been known for its fine selections of breads, meats, and cheeses. In fact, they’ve garnered national acclaim for their classic take on Jewish fare, and many make pilgrimages (or at least go out of their way) to ensure a stop at Katzinger’s.

For those not fortunate enough to live in the city, there’s finally good news: Katzinger’s is now also an online grocery where customers will be able to order the food they crave without hassle. Katzinger’s has been a long-time caterer, but they wanted to find another, better way to do business outside their brick-and-mortar.

Katzingersgrocery.com is a one-stop site where visitors can purchase much of the same groceries they can at the store. This includes dried and cured meats, olive oils, domestic and international cheeses, pickles and preserves, sweets, and gifts, like Katzinger’s coffee mugs and gift cards.

The only things customers won’t be able to purchase online are ready-made sandwiches. Katzinger’s will ship you all the fixings for your at-home assembly though, as a “Caboodle”. For instance, the Reuben Caboodle (which serves 4) contains all the fixings for consumers to make Katzinger’s signature sandwich themselves, along with knishes, pickles, and brownies.

Orders are shipped the same day if submitted by 10:30am. Dry goods can be shipped by ground in 5-10 days, while perishables will be sent either next-day or 2-day delivery, depending on the item. The cost of shipping also depends on the purchase, so there will be some variance there.

Most of the items available at Katzingergrocery.com will cost nominally more than what shoppers are used to at the store, but there’s always an added cost with shipping. Katzinger’s has always been dedicated, though, to delivering a high-quality product to their clientele at a fair price.

“We hear from our guests all the time that we need to open a Katzinger’s in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Washington, D.C. and other places all over the United States,” shares Eric Dennison, General Manager at Katzinger’s. “With Katzingersgrocery.com, we now have the ability to send a little bit of that Katzinger’s experience from our deli to your door.”
