Katalina’s Opening Second Location in Clintonville

Harrison West’s Katalina’s is getting a second location by next year. Fans of the restaurant’s famous pancake balls will be able to sate their cravings in Clintonville. It’ll be located at 3481 N. High St.

First opening on Pennsylvania Avenue in 2010, Katalina’s quickly gained a loyal following. Operating in tight quarters, owner Kathleen Day told Columbus Underground two years ago that a second location was in the plans. The restaurant was pegged for the Brewery District, but nothing materialized.

“I’ve actually been looking for quite awhile,” Day said in a 2016 interview with CU. “Because my restaurant is so small, I can’t house everyone in the winter. Our customers are so supportive, but they get frustrated in the winter when they can’t find seating — I’ve always wanted to grow.”

Renovations will begin this summer on the new Katalina’s location, with an opening set for late 2018 or early 2019. According to a release, Day plans on maintaining Katalina’s unique look and feel while debuting several new menu items.
