Japanese Oriental Restaurant is back. After a year-long closure to escape construction on North High Street, they’ve resumed business as usual at their original location at 2283 N. High St.

The restaurant’s official reopening was on Saturday, Dec. 15, and, as co-owner Kim Aun says, everything is pretty much the same. They’ll offer the same extensive menu anchored by a variety of sushi rolls. It also features appetizers like miso soup and duk bo ki, entrees like bulgogi and pad thai, and a selection of soups and stews.

Since their temporary closure, Japanese Oriental Restaurant owners have opened a second, differently branded location in Upper Arlington. Bonsai, located at 3108 Kingsdale Center, opened in late September last year, offering an identical menu.

Japanese Oriental Restaurant operates six days per week, closing on Tuesdays. They’re open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, and from 12 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
