It’s time once again to fill your grocery bags with items from many of the Farmers’ Markets that set up around Columbus to offer you the best in locally grown produce.
If you don’t grow your own food or already support a CSA, Farmers’ Markets give you a chance to get some of the best local food around. Here’s an updated list for you to get the best produce grown here in Columbus and our surrounding areas. Happy Hunting!
400 West Rich Summer and Winter Farmers Market. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 10:00am-1pm. May 11th, May 25th, June 8th, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th, August 10th, August 24th, September 14th, September 28th, October 12th, October 26th. “The 400 Summer Market is dedicated to fostering a sustainable local food system by providing space for Ohio farmers and growers as well as Ohio cottage food operations and small non-storefront processors who source ingredients locally.”
Athens Farmers’ Market. A bit of a drive, but this one is great. There are so many vendors, you are sure to find whatever you are looking for. Located at 1000 East State Street, in the parking lot of the market on State. The market is open Saturdays Year-round from 10am-1pm and Wednesdays from 10am-1pm, running April through December. Bexley Farmers’ Market, Corner of Parkview and Main St., Thursdays from 4-7pm, May 16 – October 26. Locally grown produce, meats and cheeses, children’s events, food demonstrations. Like them on Facebook. Follow on twitter.
Bexley Natural Market, 508 North Cassady Avenue in their parking lot. Farmers’ Market, Wednesdays during the day, starting June and going through the end of September.
Blendon Township Farmers’ Market, the market will be held in the fields behind the Blendon Township complex at 6350 S. Hempstead Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Opening day is July 4th and it runs through October 24th. From 3:00pm-6:00pm. Flowers and herbs, vegetables and fruits, oil soaps, cottage goods.
NEW WEDNESDAY MARKET! 
Clintonville Farmers’ Market, on N. High St. between Orchard Lane and West Dunedin Road, Saturdays on High: April 27 – November 23rd from 9:00am-noon. Wednesdays on High: June 5 – August 14th from 4:00-7:00pm. It’s the 11th season of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market! “Beginning this year, Clintonville Farmers’ Market runs year-round through 3 markets…”Winter:” January to mid-April; Saturday “Summer” outdoor: Late April to end of November; “Wednesday” outdoor: June to mid-August. Ride your bike to market and park bikes, wagons, and strollers at the Baer Wheels Bike Corral. And, come to the market tent to exchange debit card and Ohio Direction Cards EBT/SNAP for market tokens. Columbus Winter Farmer’s Market. 
The Columbus Winter Farmers Market is held the 1st & 3rd Saturday’s from November 2nd through March 15th, the hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The farmers market is held in the Charity Newsies building at 4300 Indianola Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43214. Delaware Farmers’ Market: The Main Street Farmer’s Market (Historic downtown Delaware), 2013 season will begin on Saturday, May 25 and run through Saturday, October 26, 2012, weather permitting. The popular markets will run from 9:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays and from 3:00pm-6:00pm on Wednesdays starting May 26. The sidewalk markets are conducted on the shaded side of Sandusky Street in the heart of Historic Downtown Delaware.
Dublin Farmers’ Market, Opens Wednesday, May 1st, and every Wednesday through September 25th from 3:00-6:00pm in the Oakland Nursery parking lot! Oakland Nursery will have a drawing for Dr. Earth’s Premium Potting Soils during the Dublin Farmer’s Market! Each week starting May 2nd through May 30th, Oakland will choose one winner from the drawing to receive a bag of Dr. Earth’s Probiotic All Purpose Planting Mix and one bag of All Purpose Potting Soil. Easton Farmers Market, in the Town Square, Thursdays, June 6 through September 12, 4:00-7:00pm, rain or shine. Customers can leave their farmers market purchases at the Veggie Valet booth while they shop elsewhere at Easton Town Center. You will find herbs, flowers, vegetables, free range chicken and grass fed beef and pork as well as artisanal foods, eco products and exquisite handicrafts. Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers’ Market, Wednesdays, June 5th–September 4th, 3:30–6:30pm. Browse a wide selection of fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, jams, honey and personal care products from Ohio growers and producers. The Market is located along Conservatory Drive. June 5: Family Fun. Kids create a farmers’ market shopping list craft. The Market will be held on Conservatory Drive just north of the main building and visible from East Broad Street. German Village Farm Market, Kight Studio 551, 551 S. Fifth Street, in the parking lot. Saturday, July 6, 9am-noon every Saturday until fall. Farmer John and his partner Clint Beardsley own Heron Creek Farm in Chesterville (near Mt. Gilead) and you will find brown eggs, homemade noodles, fruit preserves, pies, and whatever herbs, vegetables, fruits, flowers, etc. might be ready. They are having a great year so far, so expect a fantastic farm market!
Grandview Avenue Farmers Market, an open-air farmers market in its 10th season. Enjoy shopping for farm fresh produce and getting to know your farmer! Jefferson Community Farmers Market, Jefferson Community Park, 7494 Clark State Rd. June 22 through September 7, Every Saturday 9am-12pm. Vendors from all over central Ohio offer a large variety of farm-grown and home made goods, from lettuce, sweet corn, melons and cut flowers to bread, scones, honey and goat cheese.
Lancaster Farmer’s Market, Lancaster, Every Saturday 8am-12pm, April 27th-October 26th & Tuesdays April 30-October 1. Saturday morning Market will be held at the Job & Family Service parking lot (Corner of Main St. & Memorial Drive). Tuesday evenings, will be held at a new location at the Corner of Goslin Rd and E Main Street. ( Kroger parking lot).AND! Nationwide-PAGA Farmer’s Market, Returning in the Arena District, opening July 11, and ending on October 31st. Events will be held on Battelle Plaza outside of Nationwide Arena every Thursday from 11:00am to 1:30pm featuring between 12 – 15 vendors.
New Albany Farmers’ Market, 200 Market Street, Market Street Square, Every Thursday 4-7pm, Summer Season: June 20th – August 29th. Note: No Market on Thursday, July 4th due to the National Holiday. At this “Producer-only” market, you will find over thirty vendors with local fruits, vegetables, herbs, breads, poultry, beef, dairy, eggs and gluten free baked goods, and salsas. North Market Farmers’ Market, 59 Spruce St., Saturdays 8am, May 11- end of October/early November. The North Market is a ‘Sell What You Grow’ Farmers’ Market, with 25 vendors offering their best. The Market to Market Ride will take place on May 4 (a collaboration with The Hills Market). Other special events include: Grillmaster’s Festival June 15, Food & Ohio Wine Festival July 12-14, Farmer’s Festival August 17, Columbus Microbrew Festival September 13-15, Harvest Festival and Fall Market to Market Ride October 5. Plain City Farmers Market, Located at the corner of S. Chillicothe and S.R. 161 the “finest little Farmers Market around” is every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. starting June 27th through October 10th. Powell Farmers Market, Spring/Summer Market for 2013 runs from May 11th thru October 12th every Saturday from 9:00am-12:00pm. The market is located in the rear parking lot of 50 S. Liberty Street, Powell. There is no market the weekend of the Powell Festival (June 28-29). The winter market is located inside the East Community Room of the Village Green Municipal Building at 47 Hall Street, Powell. Market hours will be 10AM – 1PM. Dates TBD.

Parking in the lot behind Redeemer Lutheran Church The Ravens’ Farmers Market plans to bring fresh food and produce to an area on the East side of Columbus that is considered a food desert.
Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market, 1520 Davidson Drive in Huber Park, Every Thursday from 3:30-6:30pm, July 11th through September 226th. Established in 2008, market visitors will find tomatoes, sweet corn, melons, eggplant, asparagus, beans, cabbage, onions, honey, flowers, herbs, and baked goods. Like them on Facebook.

Upper Arlington Farmers’ Market, Earlier start time this year – Every Wednesday from May 15th – October 9th, 3:00-6:00pm. Upper Arlington Senior Center, 1945 Ridgeview Road. Market held rain or shine. Fruits, veggies, herbs, flowers and dairy. Special events include the Peak of the Pick on August 14th.
Uptown Westerville Farmers’ Market, May 1st through October 30th, Wednesdays, from 3:00-6:00 pm, at the corner of N. State and E. Home Streets. The Uptown Westerville Farmers’ Market is a rain or shine market. In-lot and on-street free parking is available near the market and throughout Uptown Westerville. There is bike-friendly parking in Rotary Park at the southeast corner of N. State and E. Home Streets. Ohio Proud. Market Wednesday is now in its 8th season. New vendor this year: Hartzler Family Dairy of Wooster. Worthington Farmers Market, They’ve updated their blog address and dropped the “olde.” The summer market runs every Saturday from May 4th thru October 26th, in the streets of Olde Worthington from 8:00am-12:00pm. Plant Fest is Saturday, May 11th. New this year is Lucky Penny Farm, Jorgensen Farms, Maria’s Fresh Pasta, Golden Life Dog Food.
Worthington Indoor Winter Market, Saturdays from November thru April. Every Saturday, 10:00am-1:00pm at the Shoppes at Worthington Place. 7227 N. High St., November 2 to April 26th. You will find locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, locally produced cheeses, jams, jellies, honey and maple syrup, high quality cuts of meat from carefully raised farm animals, eggs from pastured chickens, flowers, herbs, plants, homemade soaps, and foodstuffs.
