IL Moda PR & Impact Social Mixer to Raise Funds for Columbus Fashion Week

The thirdĀ annual IL Moda Mixer, hosted by IL Moda PR and Impact Social, is more than just a fashion and design networking event. The mixer not only provides industry leaders, entrepreneurs, designers, and agents a social setting to connect and mingle, but it also raises funds for Fashion Week Columbus. The non-profit has benefited from the monthly events hosted by Impact Social over the past year, receiving over $1,600 towards their organization. Fashion Week Columbus (FWC) provides scholarships to design students as well as assists emerging designers in showcasing their work.

This event, which takes place this Friday, October 14thĀ at the Dahlia Bar and Lounge, has been largely organized by the founders of IL Moda PR and Impact Social, Lubna Najjar and Brian Thomas respectively. Najjar is deeply involved in the fashion and design industry, and Thomasā€™ PR and marketing firm Impact Social specializes in “raising money and awareness for socially conscious organizations.”

“IL Moda PR hosts this event every year and it is always a smashing success bringing all audiences together to cheer on fashion week as well as the fashion community,” said Najjar. “By partnering with Impact Social this year, we are adding value and generating for FWC non-profit as the Impact Social mission provides.”

The IL Moda Mixer is the only free event that is part of Fashion Week Columbusā€™ week of events taking place October 9th through October 15th. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of food and drink during the night will go to Fashion Week Columbus. Several elected officials are showing their support of Fashion Week Columbus by attending the event, and guests are likely to see some faces they will recognize.
