“We love creating merchandise that celebrates the unique character of the beautiful neighborhoods in Columbus,” says Allison Chapman, owner of Igloo Letterpress in Worthington.
Chapman collaborated with Meredith Dixon of Studio Dixon to create the new product line that offers a series of cards, prints, and journals that showcase German Village and Rush Creek neighborhoods. The prints evoke the feel you get from walking around or living in the neighborhoods.
“We were thinking about architecture, and were inspired by the modern Rush Creek elements right in our own backyard, and the beautiful historical German Village houses and buildings,” says Chapman.
Mood boards based on the architecture of the neighborhoods were paired with some of their favorite paper colors from French Paper Company in Niles, Michigan and the designs took off from there.
“We really like that these series have a specific sense of their neighborhood inspiration in central Ohio without resorting to using scarlet and gray.”
Cards are priced at $5, prints at $25, and journals at $35. The collection will most likely expand to include other neighborhoods.
