Hot Chicken Takeover is expanding its brand to Cleveland. The Columbus-based restaurant will open its fourth location this summer at Crocker Park, a mixed use development in the Cleveland suburb of Westlake.

“When it came to selecting our first site outside Columbus,” said Founder Joe DeLoss in a press release. “Cleveland was the obvious choice for all of us. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the community and to deliver our mission: creating extraordinary experiences for extraordinary people.”

Hot Chicken Takeover is known locally for its Nashville-style hot chicken, which comes in four spice options, cold, warm, hot and holy. Their menu also includes a selection of sides, including mac and cheese, cole slaw, and banana pudding. Iced tea is offered free of charge.

The company also implements a “fair chance-minded” approach to employment, actively hiring restored citizens to its staff at all locations.

Hot Chicken Takeover was founded in 2014 and can be found in three Columbus locations: at Easton, in Clintonville, and at the North Market Downtown.
