They may have a few in stock, but to be sure you get one, call ahead to order.

2. Memberships to Columbus’ #1 Organizations – Prices Vary

Columbus is home to some of the best organizations in the country – the zoo and COSI consistently get top rankings. Give the gift of membership! There are many different levels, COSI’s options range from $65-$250. They will be closed on Saturday. The Columbus Zoo offers discounts for purchasing memberships online and the prices range from $39-$114. Memberships at the Columbus Museum of Art begin at $25. You can pick out a nice assortment of spices from North Market Spices, pair them with a mortar and pestle set from North Market Cookware (small -$7.99 and large – $15.99) and have a gorgeous gift in no time! Choose spices and rubs you know your recipient uses, or give them a new selection to encourage new recipes. The North Market will be open regular hours and will have Live Holiday Music playing at various times during the day. You can also just pick up gift certificates to the North Market in any amount if you would like to give a gift of choice!

5. Birthday Haircuts and Shaves for Life – $500

Gift a man in your life a lifetime of birthday shaves and haircuts and help out Old Familiar Barbershop at the same time. 7. Cards and Stamps – Prices Vary

One of my favorite gifts to give to someone who may not be able to get out of the house much is a stack of cards for any and all occasions and enough stamps to send them. Columbus is home to plenty of wonderful card shops – On Paper in The Short North, Market Blooms in The North Market, Peabody Papers in Grandview, Pinney Kelly Paper or By Request in Upper Arlington, Fine Lines in Worthington and New Albany, or stores like Tigertree and Wholly Craft also carry cards. Pick up your stamps and tie the stack with ribbon and you have a very thoughtful gift.

8. CAPA Tickets – Prices Vary

CAPA puts on so many shows all year long that you gift recipient will be sure to find something they are excited to go to. You can buy CAPA gift certificates in any amount above $5 and they can be used to purchase tickets to any show in a CAPA venue. Order your gift certificate today by calling 614-469-0939 or visiting the CAPA Ticket Office at the Ohio Theatre, 39 East State Street.

The Candle Lab has several locations around town for you to drop in and pick up a favorite scent or two to gift. The candles are 8oz of hand-poured soy and are $15. Buy 3 of the 8oz candles, get 1 free! Themed gift packs come with four smaller candles in a colorful gift bag and are $21. The stores will have special hours of 11am to 5pm on Saturday.
