There’s no one way to live a healthy lifestyle and that’s why Columbus Underground is bringing back the Healthy Living Festival for the third year! So you can explore tons of local businesses focused on wellness, all in one place. This year, we’re getting out of the city and getting outside at Jorgensen Farms on July 22. Guests of the event will get to spend the day exploring the beautiful property, tasting local healthy fare, chatting with artists and makers, snapping countless photo ops and enjoying free outdoor fitness classes. We’re so excited about the line-up of 30 plus vendors, we can’t help but share! Check out a few of them below and what you can expect at the event.

Founded in 2015 by two busy moms from Columbus, Ohio, ROOT 23 specializes in the farm-to-cocktail movement and has always relied on one recipe for success: whole ingredients, quality flavor, and local flair. Offering a product line as versatile and eclectic as a group of old friends, ROOT 23 prides itself on bringing people together to enjoy good taste in good company. All-natural syrups and simple ingredient lists result in a truly one-of-a-kind cocktail experience in every bottle. Guests of the event will get the chance to sample several types of mocktails that day like Pear Rosemary, Cucumber Habanero and Grapefruit Basil!

Planthropy’s purpose is to reconnect people with nature by bringing the outdoors in. With creative interior plantscaping, Planthropy fills spaces with plants, moss walls, living walls and other natural elements. They believe in the power of plants! Through their biophilic design, Planthropy creates spaces that make people happier, healthier, and improve their overall well being. During the Healthy Living Festival, get your picture taken in front of the ultimate selfie station, an interactive installation of giant moss wings – come take flight! In addition, get plant advice and shop succulent arrangements, plant accessories and moss art pieces available.

Wild Origins was started by an herbalist whose interest lies in the intersection between nature, self-empowerment, and self-care. Aniko’s workshops help others use herbs and holistic practices to bring bodies and minds into balance. Her handmade teas and body care products offer high quality, radical alternatives to the mainstream. At the Healthy Living Festival, Wild Origins will bring herbal teas to taste and herbal sprays, scrubs, salves, butters, oils, and washes for guests to check out!

Sarah Harste is a Columbus-based fiber artist who creates colorful and intricate weaving and macrame pieces. In addition to creating her own pieces, Sarah spreads the #weaverfever by traveling throughout the Midwest teaching fiber workshops. Sarah encourages a healthy lifestyle by asking her students to rethink the way they approach creativity. Instead of viewing the act of creating as a stressful process focused on the end result, she teaches her students that creating can be meditative and incredibly therapeutic, often an antidote to the normal stresses of our days. Guests of the Healthy Living Festival will get to check out pieces from Sarah’s summer collection, including colorful woven wall hangings and macrame plant hangers. Plus get a taste of #weaverfever by adding to an interactive fiber display and snapping a photo in front of your work!
