    Healthy Living Festival Preview: Juice, Biking, Ice Pops & More

    There’s no one way to live a healthy lifestyle and that’s why Columbus Underground is bringing back the Healthy Living Festival for the third year! You can explore tons of local businesses focused on wellness, all in one place. This year, we’re getting out of the city and getting outside at Jorgensen Farms on July 22. Guests of the event will get to spend the day exploring the beautiful property, tasting local healthy fare, chatting with artists and makers, snapping countless photo ops and enjoying free outdoor fitness classes. We’re so excited about the line-up of 30 plus vendors, we can’t help but share! Check out a few of them below and what you can expect at the event.

    Veranico Kitchen & Market 65 are locally-owned boutique salad restaurants that are chef-driven and committed to sourcing locally. Both grow a portion of the produce and herbs served daily. The food is thoughtful because of their careful, creative and innovative approach to cuisine. Guests of the restaurants should expect to receive more than just a meal, they will get an experience and a happier, healthier life. At the Healthy Living Festival, they will be serving up small samples of their most popular signature bowls, scratch soups, and house-made granola bars for guests to try!

    Bubbles Tea & Juice Company began in the Historic North Market in 2005 with a vision to impact the lives and health of customers one drink at a time. Ten years later, they are growing across Ohio. From cold pressed juices, fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies and irresistible bubble teas, they are committed to putting the very best ingredients in your hands! With continuous customer support, they are able to spread the mission of well-being, and so much more, back to the community! Guests can expect samples of cold pressed juices, discounts for later use, and to get educated about juice cleanses from Bubbles.

    Skaates Family Chiropractic is a chiropractic office in Westerville, Ohio. Their goal is to provide holistic medical care to support optimum health and function. They provide chiropractic care, massage therapy, rehabilitative therapy, and nutritional services. You can find them out and about in the community educating about the importance of health and wellness. Guests of the event can visit the Skaates booth to receive chiropractic education and health consultations with a doctor. Each guest will receive a certificate for a free examination at their office.

    The mission at Too Good Eats is to provide truly delicious eats packed with the nutrients your body needs to flourish! Their ice pops and snack pouches have 100 percent real fruits and veggies! No water, no added sugar, no artificial ingredients or preservatives. As a family-run company, they encourage healthy living by providing products that everyone in the family can enjoy. Guest at the festival this year will be able to sample their delicious Carrot+Mango+Ginger smoothie pouch and to purchase single pops of their seasonal Watermelon Rhubarb or Pineapple Supreme flavors to enjoy and cool off while experiencing healthy living in Columbus.     Yay Bikes! influences the conditions that help people safely and comfortably ride bicycles for transportation. They ride with people of all backgrounds to reduce their fear and make a joyful, bike-oriented / car-optional lifestyle possible for them, their families and their communities. Let’s ride! Swing by their table to learn more about bike commuting, Yay Bike’s all-inclusivee policies and much more. They will be giving away tickets to their Bike the Cbus to tickets to a lucky winner at the event!

    $15 General Admission Tickets are on sale now for two ticketed times 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. A limited number of $20 Early Bird tickets will get guests into the event between 10 -11 a.m. and for the first session of the event, giving you an hour of extra time to explore.

    Jorgensen Farms is Central Ohio’s Premier Organic Farm & Event Venue and we are so excited to be working with them to make this Festival possible. All guests will have access to exclusive farm tours during the event. Members of their Gardening, Farming, Floral and Culinary staff will be on site to answer questions about the farm and their areas of expertise!

    A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to The Better Together Program at the Columbus Foundation. Columbus Underground Events have been raising funds for local charities since August 2014.
