With our recent hard hat tour of The Joseph office building, we were able to share great views of Victorian Village, Downtown and the ten-story Le Méridian hotel that has risen quickly across the street. Today we had the opportunity to explore that building, and the views were no less spectacular.
Jason Mack, General Manager of Le Méridien, was our guide as we took in the highlights of the building. The first-floor lobby area will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, a lobby bar, and access to the recently-announced Guild House; the second floor will have two ballrooms with decorative wood ceilings; two spa suites are planned for the full-service day spa that will occupy the fourth floor; and of course the presidential suite on ten, which occupies the full High Street frontage of the building.
Mack said that construction is proceeding on schedule, and that they remain focused on a January, 2015 opening.
