Powell police officers arrested Gihan “Gigi” Zalat, 40, of Columbus, on Friday at the Happy Greek restaurant at 1552 N. High Street, which she co-owns with her husband. Zalat is charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and is being held in the Delaware County jail in lieu of a $1 million bond.

The Dispatch first reported on Zalat and her husband, Mohamed Hassan, in February 2007 when authorities searched the Happy Greek in the Short North, which the couple has since sold. They now own the Happy Greek in the Campus Gateway.
