Hai Poké is making it permanent Downtown, acquiring Pure Pressed Juicery, the location of the island-inspired eatery’s long-standing pop-up.

Hai Poké Co-Owners Nile Woodson and Mico Cordero took ownership of the space at 194 S. High St. on January 1. The space will still operate under the Pure Pressed name for now until a rebranding, but serve the full Hai Poké menu, as well as the juice and smoothies served by Pure Pressed.

The business that operated out of a 900 square-foot space at the Highpoint at Columbus Commons was listed for sale in March of 2018.

“We have been serving Hai Poké at Pure Pressed for a long time, so when we heard it was for sale, it was a no brainer for us to take it over,” Woodson says.

With the acquisition, customers can expect new menu items at both the Downtown and existing Short North location, from more poké options to additional juices and smoothies.

“Our customers have been asking for a wider variety of healthy options, so we’re very excited to be able to expand our menu to offer juice, smoothies, and acai bowls,” Cordero says.
