Hadley’s Bar + Kitchen Scheduled to Open on August 26th

After a year and a half in the making, Hadley’s Bar + Kitchen is ready to open its doors to customers on Friday, August 26th, which will coincide with the BBQ Block Party planned that same weekend. The bar is the latest addition to the growing entertainment and food scene on South Fourth Street in Downtown Columbus.

“This pocket of Downtown is quickly becoming the place to be,” said owner Brian Swanson. “Hadley’s is not your average neighborhood restaurant and we pride ourselves on that. We can treat you to a great cocktail post work, indulge in our standout late night menu on Saturday with your whole crew, or indulge in a sceney brunch on Sunday.”

The new restaurant will boast a menu crafted by Chef Lauren Blake that includes several vegan and vegetarian features like Butternut Squash Tacos and Portobello Sandwiches. Daily specials will be featured throughout the week including $1.50 oysters every Monday through Friday from 7pm to 11pm.

Hadley’s bar menu includes 26 local, domestic and seasonal craft beers on tap and a crafted cocktail menu. The bar is designed with an open-air atmosphere similar to neighboring 16-Bit, that allows guests to move between the outdoor patio on Fourth and the interior space.

Hadley’s Bar + Kitchen will operate Monday from 4pm to 1am, Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 2am and Sunday from 11am to 1am.

Hadley’s was originally announced in February 2015 with the name of Tavernesque and a May 2015 launch timeframe. Once it was renamed to Hadley’s, the plan was to open in Spring 2016. A representative from Hadley’s stated that the reason for the delay was due to the reordering of new projects to open Balboa and re-open Grandview Cafe on Grandview Avenue.
