Michael’s Goody Boy Diner, now under the moniker Goody Boy, will reopen for St. Patrick’s Day.

Corso Ventures stepped in at the start of the year to refresh the restaurant in partnership with Jimmy Velio, who purchased Goody Boy in 2009. Its reopening date is set for Thursday, March 14.

Renovations to Goody Boy will embrace mid-century modern architecture and furniture, reflecting the year of its opening: 1947. The menu as well will feature a “unique spin on comfort food favorites” and a “return to yesteryear” with reimagined classic cocktails, according to a press release. The restaurant’s iconic sign will also be restored.

“Corso Ventures is committed to creating fun and exciting experiences in the Short North,” says Chris Corso, CEO of Corso Ventures. “With our proven high standards of programming and customer service, we intend to bring a refreshed energy to this Short North staple.”

Once open, Goody Boy will operate 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It’s located at 1133 N. High St.
