Goes together like the Main Bar and Parking Tickets

According to this Dispatch article, a city meter maid was recently caught for flyering cars with advertisements for The Main Bar while on the job. Perhaps the logic is that after getting a parking ticket, folks would be inclined to drown their sorrows with a drink?

Either way, it’s some free publicity for the Main Bar that doesn’t normally seem to advertise at all. The best part of the article is towards the end where a manager at the Main Bar made the statement that they don’t pay anyone to hand out flyers, and also refused to give his own name. Because nothing solidifies your statement quite like trying to hide your identity.
