Upscale home-furnishings store Global Living in Grandview Heights has closed amid mounting financial troubles.
FirstMerit Bank of Akron froze Global Living’s accounts and seized control of its inventory Oct. 26, after the company defaulted on a $1.25 million loan.
“It took us by surprise,” store owner Ray Graves said. “Within 30 minutes on a Friday morning … it was over for us.”
