“I am very excited and honored to have been selected,” said Brown in the release. “I will be working with the Board of Trustees managing the daily operations, the wonderful gallery, teaching activities, and special events that make Glass Axis the premier destination for glass arts in Ohio.”

Brown has served as a Board Member at Glass Axis for two years, as well as the Treasurer for the organization. In addition to his background in the health insurance industry and holding an MBA with a focus in Information Systems, Brown is a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and a life long oil painter who also works in glass, copper and other mediums.

Glass Axis has a big year planned for 2014, with a relocation to Franklinton planned this fall. The group is kicking off a year of fundraising activities on March 8th with “Glassquerade” — a Mardi Gras style celebration of glass culture.
