The owners of BBR, Dahlia and the recently-opened Fireproof are expanding their Cincinnati-based concept to the Short North.
Galla Park will make its Columbus debut in at 900 N. High St. in March 2020.
With 5,400 square feet of space, Michael Mercer of Peerless Management Group describes Galla Park as an innovative, vibe dining experience and entertainment complex.
Short North will be more restaurant-driven than its Cincinnati counterpart, which is located in The Banks entertainment district, but will have a dance floor and DJ on the weekends and live entertainment during the week.
Galla Park’s food menu will focus on made-from-scratch items with innovative presentations. The menu will vary slightly from the Cincinnati spot, but diners can expect sharables like charcuterie, hummus, pizzas and more, as well as sandwiches featuring chicken tenders to short ribs, entrees like chicken and shrimp & grits and premium cut steaks.
On the drinks side, Galla Park will feature an extensive wine menu, hand-made cocktails and locally-sourced beers.
The original Galla Park location opened in Cincinnati just over a year ago and Mercer says it’s been a homerun. With Peerless’ roots in Columbus, Mercer saw a need in the Short North for a concept that combines dining and nightlife.
Galla Park will be open from 3 p.m. – 2 a.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, they’ll open up early for brunch at 11 a.m. and keep the party going until 2 a.m.
