Four String Brewing Hires New Distributor

It’s hard to believe that Four String Brewing has only been around for two years. It seems like almost every bar worth patronizing carries the local company’s brews, a testament to the job owner Dan Cochran has been doing. Currently, Four String beers can be found on-tap at roughly 75 establishments around the city, which, if you self-distribute, is another job onto itself.

That’s where Superior Beverage Group comes in — their portfolio includes 475 wine and beer brands. Cochran recently announced that he is handing the reins of that side of the operation over to the distribution company, thereby expanding his business reach and freeing up some time for what matters most — making really good beer.

“In my research and conversations with local bar managers, Superior came up time and time again as the best choice for me,” shares Cochran on his decision. “They bring great sales and customer service to the table, as well as evident craft beer expertise.”

Superior Beverage Group traces its roots back to Youngstown, and back some 90 years. They currently service 33 counties in North East and Central Ohio, are constantly adding new and seasonal brews to their lineup.

Four String Brewing hopes to be able to reach 10,000 barrel production by the end of next year, four times the 2,500 it produces right now. With the recent launch of its taproom, and the addition of Superior Beverage Group, Four String is poised to become Columbus’ leading craft brewery before long.
