sugarplumclareyMemberI had great luck at Alexander’s Jewelers on High St. for my wedding ring. Also try Etsy’s Shop Local page; a ton of talented jewelry-makers sell there.

sugarplumclareyMemberI hope for all of our sakes that Evil Mart doesn’t make it anywhere near downtown Columbus. Ever.
But if they do, I sure hope that they give out free samples in the booze aisle like they do at some of their Mexico locations.

Why do people complain about stores they don’t shop at anyways?Because we care about those being affected by poor labor practices, environmental devastation, and other irresponsible behaviors that will affect us all in one way or another, now or down the line.
sugarplumclareyMemberThank you so much everyone. I knew I could count on CU for this info :)
sugarplumclareyMemberI see. So if the bill is in the landlord’s name, s/he can bill the tenants in order to reimburse herself for the expense?
sugarplumclareyMemberisn’t the whole draw of comfest that it’s a free zone?
sugarplumclareyMemberWhen people misspell my name. C-L-A-R-E, NOT Claire/Clair/etc.

sugarplumclareyMemberMe neither. I just have Irish heritage and like to get drunk :) I figure if I attend enough Bloomsday readings, I’ll have the whole book covered by approximately 2060.

sugarplumclareyMemberwhat’s your degree? journalism?
sugarplumclareyMemberDoes anybody have moving boxes available? We are transporting our 3-person/1-dog household cross-country so we need something good and sturdy (e.g. not the ones I usually pull from dumpsters). Please let me know. Thank you!
sugarplumclareyMemberYay! I lived in Indy growing up and visit parents there all the time. Don’t miss:
1. The Indianapolis Museum of Art
2. The Children’s Museum
3. The gardens at the Indianapolis Art Center (small, but good for kiddos)
4. Holliday Park (lots of nice trails/play equipment)Eat at these delicious but affordable places:
1. Yat’s (Cajun/Creole)
2. Taste Cafe and Marketplace
3. Locally Grown Market Place
4. Sakura (Japanese)
5. India Garden (inexpensive tasty Indian food)
6. Bazbeaux Pizza (try the creamy basil salad dressing – the best!)
7. Broad Ripple Brew Pub (great beer AND best veggie pizza ever, the “Nutty Garden”)For day shopping, visit Broad Ripple (larger) or Massachusettes Avenue or (smaller). Summer nights in Broad Ripple are manic and full of crazy drunkards, which is fun or crappy depending on your taste. If you do go out, I recommend the Alley Cat in Broad Ripple (a dive bar) or the Broad Ripple Brew Pub. Smoking IS allowed inside of many bars so be forewarned!
If you need more tips let me know. I know the city like the back of my hand :)
