Several of the grocery stores here in Vegas have recently posted signs saying they will no longer be 24 hours and will only be open 6 am to midnight including almost all of the Smith’s (Owned by Kroger) I don’t typically shop at Wal-Mart but stopped by around 1 am the other night and it also had a sign posted with the new hours only being 6 am to midnight.September 9, 2015 6:32 pm at 6:32 pm in reply to: Columbus Tourism & Conventions / Experience Columbus – News & Updates #1092594
I really think they missed the mark on adding a full service hotel at the far northwest corner of the convention center at High & Goodale Street. The large surface lot behind the convention center off 3rd and Nationwide is open land but pretty disconnected from High street. What about the small green space at Nationwide & High? Is that open to build on or is it owned by Nationwide?September 8, 2015 9:17 pm at 9:17 pm in reply to: 250 High – New 12-Story Mixed-Use Building Downtown #1092431
I hope they tell them to go back to the drawing board and incorporate the existing buildings into the design. How about keeping the existing Park Street buildings for office/retail and making the back portion where the office building is planned a mixed use 16 story building instead of two 8 story buildings.September 6, 2015 3:15 pm at 3:15 pm in reply to: Housing Proposed by Wallick (et al) at 18th and Main #1092086
Lets see some renderings!!
Will The Neilston have underground parking as well?
Very nice! I hope it doesn’t stall too long and construction can begin soon. Looks like the rooftop patio will be located on the south side of the building on the 4th floor..Great views of downtown!
I lived at Skyview during the remodel process so I was one of the fist tenants in the building. For the first 4 months of my 1 year lease I was the only one living on my floor which made it very quiet but a bit creepy. I got chance to see a few of the before apartments and it gave the feel of a post apocalyptic movie..overall I like what thy have done with the building but by the time I left it was getting to be bit rough with the residents they were letting move in.
I’m a little jealous this is not being proposed for downtown. Would love to see something like this in the River South District with all the large windows and balconies.
