spfld_expatParticipantI drove by this evening. The place was busy and it looks great.
My question is, why do they think they need valet? Between the CVS lot and the former Giant Eagle lot next door they have one of the easiest parking situations in greater Grandview.

LOL, yes, that’s the venerable 5XNW.

My name is my name!
spfld_expatParticipantFeeling nostalgic? lol
spfld_expatParticipantHere is an interesting fact, 33% of Americans 16 or over are not participating in the workforce, the highest since 1978.
Baby boomers are retiring.

spfld_expatParticipantWhen neighborhoods suffer from a lack of investment, residents living within those same neighborhoods will take less pride in them. It’s a “why should I care what the street looks like if the city doesn’t care about me” attitude. At least that’s how I see it.
This is a victim-blaming rationalization to let litterbugs off the hook.
If you litter, you are responsible. It’s not magically society’s fault.

spfld_expatParticipantEducating the rich newbies to accept dark skinned folks, poor folks…
I agree completely.
…and some level of nuisance, no parking, petty crime, litter, poor maintenance by the city…
and you’ve lost me.

spfld_expatParticipantAnother aspect of moving Crew Stadium that hasn’t been mentioned is the Quarter Horse Congress. This is a huge event that generates tons of money for the city, but has long since outgrown the facilities at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, and there are grumblings about moving the event elsewhere. The facilities for the QHC need to be expanded, which would be much easier without the stadium in the way.
The ideal situation would put a new, updated crew stadium downtown and upgrade the fairgrounds facilities. That would be a win for the City, the Crew, the QHC. But all that money has to come from somewhere…
spfld_expatParticipantI don’t trust Hillary Clinton because of the allegations that have come out against her. I voted against her. Because of the allegations, I honestly believe that she is not trustworthy. She should not be elected. I don’t trust Hillary to be in The White House. I wouldn’t even trust her to be the mayor of my town. For the sake of the USA, I hope she doesn’t win the nomination.

spfld_expatParticipantExpand medicaid?
You sound like a left wing loon, likely unemployed, so you should like the expansion of medicaid.
Oh please. Go back to New York.

spfld_expatParticipantWith Rubio out we’ll see if any momentum swings Kasich’s way. He’s the last establishment candidate left on the GOP side, so the party machinery is going to give him every possible boost they can.
This Kasich as moderate or establishment Republican meme has got to stop.
We’re talking about the “I was in the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party” John Kasich. “Get on the bus or get run over” John Kasich. He’s a typical anti-choice, anti-lgbt, anti-union, anti-everything tea bagger. He’s a Scott Walker knockoff who made it this far by default. What has he ever done or said that is arguably moderate besides playing nice in a few debates?

spfld_expatParticipantIt’s funny I’m supporting Trump so much, but I hate mindless race baiting. There’s no evidence of Trump ever being racist, but for whatever reason, this media soundbite will continue into November. Sad.
Christ. +1 for mastering Trump-tweet style, though.
