Does anyone have a list or anecdotal observations of which Taco Bells have the breakfast?

I’ve been working downtown since 1998 and never had any problems. I’ve seen a few minor ‘incidents’ and there are certainly occasional incidents. Random person on person crime is actually very rare, but probably more likely someplace like downtown due to the number of mentally ill on the streets. You’re statistically more likely to be seriously injured or killed in a car accident than be a victim of a random attack.

Questionable (and non cannon) plot line aside, I don’t understand Bay’s obsession with turning simply designed characters into darkly shaded messes that leave you wondering, is that a shell or proton pack on its back?

Agree. I took one look at the costumes and decided that whoever made this movie didn’t “get it”.

Falling Skies, and Continuum are my favorites. Continuum is a bit uneventful in the first two episodes, I would try and watch a whole season, it helps a lot and gets dramatically better.

I would agree wholeheartedly. Continuum takes several episodes to get going, but boy does it get going! Kind of like “Fringe” which completely stunk up the place until episode 7.

Defiance is okay. The one I gave up on was Revolution, but now everyone insists that the second season has been better. Not that they had a very high bar to get to for “better”.

There are lots of bargains to be had if you keep your risk in perspective. I bought in a slightly run down area. The chance of property crime is higher but I’m probably saving over $150k in costs to live there. They could literally break in and steal everything in my house 5 times over and I’d still come out ahead, monetarily (even without insurance).

As far as person-to-person crime that mostly has to do with who you hang out with. Totally random crime happens but is extremely rare. Most people are victimized by people they know or are known associates of.

Without seeing your lot it’s hard to say. If it’s isolated and out of view of neighbors and people, it’s more risky. There are a few simple things you can do to minimize risk. Step 1 is get an alarm. Step 2, if it has a garage keep your car parked in the garage at night. If it doesn’t and it has room for one, then build a garage. Keep at least sheer curtains covering your window so people can’t really see whats in your house. Keep your yard nice and tidy so it looks cared for. Just those things will go a long way.

In the end it really comes down to personal comfort, and what you’re comfortable with.

    Good luck!

I’m really excited about this show. Brilliant name, too.

There are a couple of places on the internet that will custom make jeans to a series of your measurements. You send them several measurements and they will make the pants for you. A friend of mine got them for his wife, she has large hips and thighs and a skinny waist, and she really liked them. I don’t know the name of the place though you could probably Google.

And a surprising amount of public urination.

It is not just the bums. I think it is in the air downtown. My wife and I were walking by CCAD last friday evening and a group of drunk students just stopped to urinate on the side of a building on Gay St.

I saw a drunk guy in a pretty nice business suit yelling and singing and urinating near High and Main just a few weeks ago. Welcome to the city!

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A homeless man who fatally stabbed a stranger outside a downtown Columbus hotel last year has been committed to a mental hospital. Franklin Common Pleas Judge Richard Frye on Tuesday called 55-year-old Thomas Wallace a “poster child” for the problems with the state’s mental-health system.
I seem to remember another mentally ill guy who walked into a salon or something and started stabbing people a couple of years ago.

    Homicide Downtown

The link above is to a 10 TV report. A body was apparently found at around 6:15 am. I am sure as hell glad I was not early commuting in today, I would hate to have been the person to find the body. It would have been even worse to see the crime happen.

I work downtown. Our HR dept sends out emails for just about every violent crime that is reported downtown with descriptions of suspects, etc. We didn’t get anything about a jogger this week.
