If this does happen, they should think about widening Trabue.
Also, I wish they would do something about the off ramp to Hilliard Rome North. There needs to be a better solution, because people trying to get to Renner have to cut across 3 lanes to get to the turning lane.
Yep, couldn’t agree more. Common sense would dictate that you could just go up a few lights and make a left, but….
While we’re at it, could Columbus/ODOT/Banksy put up a divider between the offramp lane coming from 70E to 3rd St and Livingston? I’ve almost been bulldozed by knuckleheads who HAVE to turn right onto 3rd. Heaven forbid they get off at Front/High and go up a couple blocks.
I’m already tired of that place, and I’ve only been 4 times.
I’ve been once, and would only go back if pestered. The owner (or someone that looked suspiciously like the owner) was working the line at the Lane Ave location, and gave me all kinds of shit because I was asking questions. Hey, pal, just save me the time and smash it all together into a small, candy bar sized niblet. And I mean ALL of it, my brain almost exploded wondering if I was going to make a terrible choice and ruin my….whatever the hell the thing is called. “Shouldn’t have got the damn cuntrot aioli….well, there’s always next time!”July 13, 2012 4:28 am at 4:28 am in reply to: Don't miss SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED at the Drexel this week! #504537
She would glare at you for calling her adorable!!!
This is why I’m not good with the hipsters.July 13, 2012 4:06 am at 4:06 am in reply to: Don't miss SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED at the Drexel this week! #504535
Umm. Aubrey Plaza. Not Audrey.
Who cares what her name is, she’s adorable!
Those OSU cows at kenny and ackerman are still there sometimes. Also sometimes in the pasture on north star near UA and at sawmill rd. It always makes me happy when I see them.
Not to threadjack, but I’ve always thought that the houses that face east on North Star just north of Lane have the best view in the city (short of a high rise). You can see from the shoe all the way to downtown and beyond.
Two remakes of Verhoeven films in the same summer? No thank you.July 6, 2012 11:04 pm at 11:04 pm in reply to: Downtown Live Summer Concert Series at Columbus Commons 2012 #495367
The bassist for Mike and the Black Ties really pulled off those cutoff jorts.
I’m surprised, the annual Comfest butthurt has started very late this year. I seem to remember threads of yore that predated the festival by months.
Discovery District is chock full of CCAD kids. You might get lucky and find a building that isn’t being overrun by them. In the two years I’ve been on East Town, my building has gone from Downtown lifers/YPs to CCAD kids here on their parent’s dime. Not a good combination for peace and quiet, and an open invitation for rents to go up.
Notwithstanding my building, the area is pretty nice. You’ll see some homeless wandering through but the bike patrol tends to keep things quiet.
Noticed that TCL is on Fab today, but didn’t see the new tire-scented candle. What gives? :p
Pretty sure if the roles were reversed, Nationwide legal would be frothing at the loins to sue any perceived infringement into bankruptcy.
They made me throw away my blue messenger bag hipster phone.

How about a candle shaped like the Arena that smells like burning tax dollars?
You’re right. I’ve lost all right to not accept without comment or complaint every aspect of my surroundings due to my choice of home location.
Thanks for setting me straight.
It’s probably a bit of schadenfreude. The area is not cheap, yet there’s a freight rail line running beneath it. Never quite understood that myself.
