Falling Skies, and Continuum are my favorites. Continuum is a bit uneventful in the first two episodes, I would try and watch a whole season, it helps a lot and gets dramatically better.
Agreed. I watched the first two seasons of Continuum on Netflix over the winter, looking forward to the next season.
I drive by there daily, business does not seem affected.(from what I can tell by cars in the parking lot)

I really like the show. Very easy to watch, beautiful scenery, and funny. I think I finished the 2 seasons in a week. but with the subtitles, you have to be watching, can’t be in another room listening or something.November 15, 2013 8:42 pm at 8:42 pm in reply to: LeBOOM: DJ FUNK Saturday 11.16 Skullys Music-Diner #553192

I think the problem with smokers always being noticed littering is a combo of what you both said. I think inconsiderate people litter, not exclusive to smokers, but smokers typically have something that is to be discarded on hand-> butts.
(I also do smoke and I do not litter,… I roll it out and the butt goes in trash or back pocket till I find a trash can)
I do hate when butts are thrown out someone’s window and hit my car, it was always way more aggravating on a motorcycle, it happens a lot.November 1, 2013 4:22 pm at 4:22 pm in reply to: TRAUMA is October 31 and November 1, 2013 at the Bluestone #553258
Last night was really a lot of fun, I don’t know if a better Halloween party is possible. Great people, entertainment, music, and costumes. Tonight should be amazing as well.
The only problem I have with Trauma is not actually with Trauma itself, but the venue. The Bluestone staff I talked to were all very cool and helpful (some i saw were a little uptight- trauma may not be their normal crowd/situation, but when the crowd situation changes, you need to roll with it a little), and I like the multi room and patio set up, but those drink prices are ridiculous.
Maybe I forgot I was in a concert hall instead of a bar, but geez man, $8 for a weak cocktail in a plastic cup? I feel the same way about those prices as I do about predatory lending, not well.
Other than that, last night was great and looking forward to tonight.
If I do the crime, I pay the fine. Take responsibility for the ticket if it’s your violation. I’m not being all preachy, I just take responsibility for stuff I do and wish others would do the same. Now if someone put their ticket on your car, that is another story.
I get what you and everyone is saying, (and yes, i get the meaning of it) but seeing it everywhere, for me at least, it lacks consistency and therefore has lost it’s meaning, and I’m just kinda tired of it. I feel it’s overused and it’s meaning has been watered down because of it.
Here are two I’ve seen in the last week, both great events, just “dress to impress” irks me.. I’d dress differently for each of these, or actually, I probably wouldn’t, depends on how I’m feeling that night.
it sounds very generic to me. Putting thought into dress is not the issue, though i get that most people don’t look in the mirror before they leave their house. It’s that the invites request “dress to impress” sounds very cheesy to me, and it makes me think it’s just going to be a “cheese” party. It’s a turn off for me, expecially when the cost of attending the party is more than your average joe would spend. A recent invite made me think of this, but in reality I see it a lot.
