I would like to know if there are plans to build anything in the direction of High Street, the Arena District and Short North. I like the project but it would be cool if those areas were a little more “connected”.

Has anybody tried to contact ARMS since the announcement?

I did. Will probably have another scheduled interview with them in the next week or so.
So in the meantime, keep the questions coming. ;)

Is this interview still coming?? My question is selfish, but ask them why they can’t just cut checks to those with deposits? What guarantee are they giving that the deposits will be returned? I’d like to see some tough questions. I don’t want to read about their proposed apartment project unless there are shovels in the ground.

This is a little cynical, but probably true all the same. If we lose the CBJ, and the millions in taxes that they help generate, our taxes will be raised anyway to make up for the budget shortfall. At the end of the day, if I’m gonna pay more taxes, I’d just assume have the CBJ for my money.

suspend all tax abatements in the Arena district.
    problem solved.

YES, then there will be a bank short sell or a forclosure I can afford to buy, haha.

Ok, for a long time I’ve been driven nuts by the ads on internet sites such as weather.com, msn.com and basically any other website that has a lot of advertisements on the sides.
Several new ones I’ve noticed over the last month have the guy with the unibrow, the guy who looks like a terrorist (intentionally I believe), the guy with the HUGE glasses and teeth, and today a dog with Elvis hair. I call the dog with Elvis hair my breaking point.
Anyone else know what I’m talkin about or have any “favorites”?

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

HAHAHA, I had that as my FB picture asking people if they wanted a $40/hr job, a mortgage or insurance.

Travis (married to Lahoti) is the realtor. It is very interesting that he just became a licensed realtor YESTERDAY. The whole situation stinks. They probably spend the deposit money on their ridiculous M4M website FindFred! Unfortunately, this site does not go to well and now they are in deep shit and keep lying to their buyers!!! I suggest you guys get together and sue them.

It is clear that the developer no longer has my deposit. I am not optimistic about ever having it returned to me since the developer has a reputation (one they have earned) for not paying their bills and for always taking care of themselves first. I am a fool to have ever believed the ending would be different.
What responsibility did my Realtor have in this situation? I am represented by the Realtor who also represents the developer/seller. A member of that Realtor group is married to one of the developers. They must have all known what was going on all this time. Don’t you think my Realtor had a responsibility to inform me? I think there is a serious ethical issue with all of this. Perhaps my best chance at getting my deposit back is to seek legal action against the Realtors who were inside this deal all along.

How do you know he just became a licensed Realtor yesterday? He represented Ibiza 1.5 years ago as a Realtor.

There’s a Nike drop point at the outlet mall in Washington C.H.

Just don’t want that to get lost in all the Skechers fashion talk.

I also hate when they have a box that says “Choose a State” or “What’s Your Age” for mortgage or insurance ads and you can tell by moving over them that it doesn’t matter which one you click, they all take you to the same place. If I can’t even trust your ad, I don’t think I’m going to trust you with a 6 figure mortgage.

Those are all good ones. I forgot about the teeth whitening. Those do have some hilarious tag lines, I think one was like “Kill Bad Teeth!” or something like that, real violent.

I honestly just stumbled upon the site and petition myself. What I took from it is that they just want to show the parties involved that there are people in Columbus who want a solution found that will keep the team in Columbus. Sorry I can’t provide any further information.

That’s sort of what I gathered, so I signed it.

“I just think the Dispatch is ahead of the game. By allowing ALL voices to be heard, not just a selct few as Walker does, they will stay out of future legal problems.”

I’d say the Dispatch just purchased a piece of software that allows user comments, installed it and walked away. I doubt they were trying to be on the forefront of free speech. But hey, who knows.
