I’m wondering if the owners of DeNovo is putting legal pressure on LC to remain in “extreme slow motion” until they are in their new spot at Columbus Commons to minimize the loss of traffic caused by construction. And after their move is complete, LC will ramp up quickly….at least that’s my conspiracy theory.:)March 21, 2016 8:09 pm at 8:09 pm in reply to: LC RiverSouth – 8-Story & 10-Story Apartment Buildings at High & Rich #1119346
It would be wise for LC to simply offer an update.
I’m guessing that as anxious as all of are to see these structures get “vertical” ASAP, LC is 10X more anxious than any of us. Considering the costs they’re carrying with cranes and the time-cost losses they are experiencing by delaying the construction, I can’t imagine anyone being more motivated than them.
We should be thankful none of us have the financial burden.February 22, 2016 3:26 pm at 3:26 pm in reply to: LC RiverSouth – 8-Story & 10-Story Apartment Buildings at High & Rich #1115368
Anyone else notice how slow these structures are advancing?March 25, 2015 5:28 pm at 5:28 pm in reply to: Two25 17 Story High Rise Proposed for SE Columbus Commons #1068801
I agree WJT. I recently read that the availability downtown office space is reaching new lows. Would hate to see them cap at 17 if they could reasonably “anticipate” that additional sq. ft. could be leased very quickly by the time they completed the project.March 25, 2015 10:25 am at 10:25 am in reply to: Two25 17 Story High Rise Proposed for SE Columbus Commons #1068690
I’m excited to see another high-rise come to downtown Cbus! When’s the last time anything larger than 15 stories has been built? It will be great to see some newer contemporary architecture too.March 24, 2015 10:50 am at 10:50 am in reply to: LC RiverSouth – 8-Story & 10-Story Apartment Buildings at High & Rich #1068534
I guess I was specifically referencing that these two buildings were originally supposed to be “mirrored” buildings. We have so many “developments” in Cbus that can be interpreted as cookie cutter. Either way, this development is great for the street and that neighborhood.March 24, 2015 9:58 am at 9:58 am in reply to: LC RiverSouth – 8-Story & 10-Story Apartment Buildings at High & Rich #1068512
I think the height differentiation would be better and would appear to be less like a cookie cutter development you see in the suburbs.
