Vermouth actually started out as an “artisan” product. Though the particular product featured at Weiland’s is new to the market, one can easily find vermouths with a long history. Example: Carpano Antica (recipe dates to 1786) can take your Manhattans to the next level. It also happens to be quite delightful on its own.

But the best and worst vermouths taste equally disgusting if they’re not stored in the fridge and used up before they start to oxidize.

Artisan def. – (of food or drink) made in a traditional or non-mechanized way….

So, basically everything ever has artisanal origins.

Now, let’s just hope it’s local and sustainable too. Make it an urbanista trifecta…

Just the right amount of mixed income to improve “walkability”… That’s the sweet spot!

Columbus wasn’t mentioned in either article, and OP didn’t editorialize or expound locally.

Odd that the thread took such a defensive stance…but I guess that’s how suburbanites must feel about pieces saying the places they live are the worst thing thats happened to our country.

Here’s what you need to know about being a returning pioneer in a neighborhood like this:

    * 99% of the problems are going to be caused by only 5% of the people. There’s always “that one house on the block”

Do not get into pissing matches with these people! Be respectful but keep them at arms length. Don’t call the cops for every little thing. For example, if they keep taking your hose without asking, just move the hose inside when you’re not using it. The people in “that one house on the block” have most likely experienced stark, miserable, loveless lives that you cannot even begin comprehend and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it but be patient.

Otherwise your family sounds like they have what it takes if you’re even asking the question.

    Good luck!

Because every community needs two big box grocery stores 100 yards away from each other. Kingsdale is such a missed opportunity.

If the market supports it, why not?

So what came first liberal control of urban centers or failing schools and desperate inequality.<br>
It’s funny that both rural dwellers and urban dwellers both have no clue about each other (and no desire to have one) and present it through bigotry.

Wow, way to take an interesting discussion and make it completely divisive and hyperbolic.

With all due respect, comments inferring the closed mindedness of non urban dwellers could be viewed as similarly divisive and hyperbolic, if not condescending.

I would submit liberalism promotes density….but here’s the kicker… What if, via development, the density ends up looking and acting the same?

Perhaps “suburban style thinking” is exactly why some people believe he’s a good candidate. I’m speculating, but I’d guess 75% of the city’s population lives in a “suburban style” neighborhood.

I think if you were talking metro area, that may be true…but since most of the suburbs are their own cities (with their own mayors) I don’t think the 75% number would be true in this case.

I understand the distinction, and was only addressing city of Columbus proper. I believe 75% is a fair estimate, given what we know of actual downtown population #’s.

Outside of downtown and a few adjacent neighborhoods, most Columbus neighborhoods look like (and commerce like) a traditional “suburb”. That’s the beauty of the huge footprint…..

So no one is discussing what is actually said in the video by the pp doctor. the responses are only about the video producers pedigree and motives. I suspect you members of the abortion cult can’t really listen to this as it would cause cognitive dissonance.

When you start using terms like abortion cult, it is pretty apparent the only thing that would make you believe the truth in this situation is the Baby Jeebus telling you personally.

That’s hilarious….Any word from Oklahoma on the subject?
