That’s a sad one to hear about.

RIP one of my favorite places in Columbus.

Speaking of awesome coverage for the city, I’m about to fly back into town and see the first thing anyone sees about Columbus when they fly in: Columbus, Cowtown advertisements and T-shirts in the airport.

Yep, how’s that for a first impression when you’re trying to bring someone in.
That dumb shit (literally) incenses me every time I go through the airport. I’d love to knock those displays over and be done with it.
We’re blessed with the same exact shit in the gift store as Wisconsin as well, which tells me the gift stores at the airport must be ran by a chain.

I don’t know if I’m more or less irritated that they have the exact same stuff in Wisconsin. It has to piss the people of Madison off. That is one cool ass city.

I think you’ve missed the point entirely, and that is sad.

As the first person to officially refer to me as middle-aged, I now hate you gram. ;)

Yeah, that does make you seem younger than you actually are.

Oooof, having just turned 30 I’m super sensitive to these age classifications now. If Core is OLDER than middle-aged am I middle aged?? I don’t like your scale, Daz, not one bit ;)

    Yeah, that’s hardcore man.
    hard…fucking…core.

<3s and rainbows for both of you.

I was going to follow Somer’s comment with “Is he that young? He looks so much older.” But I decided that I was riding the fine line already and didn’t want to catch a foot in my face the next time I saw you out.

    – A hospital? What is it?
    – It’s a big building with patients, but that’s not important right now.

I moved into an eastward facing room with really really crappy white blinds.

I now wake up with no need for an alarm by 7 AM. No matter how late I go to bed.

Because of this, I am fall-flat-on-your-face tired at ~10-11PM every day.

My first job was working for McDonalds from 1997-2001. During the first year of that time, I worked at a McDs that was INSIDE of a Wal-Mart.

Since then, I haven’t been able to stomach the place, but I don’t have to. I don’t have a group of kids that I have to fill will with baby foods and cover with diapers. I don’t struggle to make ends meet.

If I’m in need of bulk purchases, I’ll head to a Costco instead of a Sam’s Club, but that’s because I grew up around Costco, and I know they pay upwards of $17/hr to their employees that have been around for a while. I’ve also met their CEO and he was a really good dude.

If I need just general cheap shit, I normally go to Target. Admittedly, it’s aesthetics that draw me there. The prices and quality are the same as Wal-Mart, and I don’t get that overly sterile feeling when I walk inside of hard white fluorescent lights shining and that steady “beep” sound. I also don’t get jarred with memories of shitty parents leaving their kids inside the place I’m working so the kids can smear their cheeseburger insides all over the tables I just cleaned. Yes, I did call security. No, they didn’t want to deal with it.
