chaptalParticipantMostly I’m just thinking Jesse is having a very bad year. Also that Walt is barely healthy enough to walk to the gate at the cabin, but is well enough to drive cross country, avoid the police and come home to some heavy confrontations on many different fronts.

I don’t want the board to step down. I get to decide on three of the members in November.Things that would make me vote for a levy:
1) Have Hero-Auditor Carolyn Smith’s office expanded (instead of eliminated)
2) Get rid of the extra layer of administration its proposing over the school board. The extra “leadership” from people who *aren’t even required to live inside CCS boundaries* is incredibly repugnant.
3) A pledge to fix the city school system, as opposed to creating ANOTHER school system for taxpayers to support.
I hope to see that levy in May.
2, definitely two. Creating more highly paid upper level management while ignoring the front lines, again.
chaptalParticipantIt’s more than the board, and the scandals that have surrounded it in recent years. It’s the lack of accountability. Gene Harris’ golden parachute in the wake of the attendance scandal. Then, the day before school was to begin, the lack of bus drivers and the inability of parents to contact transportation to find out what the heck was going on. It’s not one thing, but a series of events that has left parents very frustrated and having little recourse. And now that one thing they have, the vote, is the only way to send a message to the board, and the school district’s administration to wake up and do their jobs.

I don’t think there has been a single levy that I’ve voted against…. until this one.I can believe that they’re spending that much on campaigning – they have TV commercials airing fairly often on Food Network.
Right with you. This not not about the student, but preserving the administrator’s positions.

You really want to know the difference? The difference is that Nick Dekker has proven himself as a worthwhile member of the community, both online and offline for years and years and years. He’s a supporter of the arts, supporter of small businesses, an educator, and all around level-headed guy. He’s not afraid to stand by his opinion and attach his real name to his word. He’s the kind of person who’s earned many people’s trust so that his opinion on things is worthy of listening to, whether you agree with him or not.
You on the other hand, do nothing but anonymously complain. Very few people take that seriously.
^^^ That.
chaptalParticipantGoing back to the first episode after the season break – There has to be some battle at the White house. Heisenberg was tagged on the living room wall, the neighbor drops her groceries when Walt shows up to get the ricin. And Walt has that big gun, who does he use that on? Going to be tense!
chaptalParticipantThat’s some heavy conspiracy thinking there.
chaptalParticipantThe convicted sex offender no longer owns the business. According to their facebook page, there is going to be a name change to the coffee house.
chaptalParticipantClearly.

The Actual Brewing Company is not on the list. Clearly something is up with that brewery, contrary to what the owner says.Did you take the facilities tour the owner invited you to?
chaptalParticipantThere’s shooting each other as I write this, and will continue to do so have I click on submit!
chaptalParticipantIt’s the transplants’ fault.
