Took a trip to Glasgow to try Old Rip Van Winkle for the first time. I’d never seen a bottle before. Good stuff, but not wait in a line at 3AM for a bottle good. The bar is Chinaski’s. Great place with an impressive bourbon selection by any country’s standards.
“So this time Belle & Sebastian were here, you were there. I was looking for you once again Chaptal.”
We were at the show Sunday night, left on Monday. The timing of all of this is remarkable.
Have the fortuitous pleasure of being in Glasgow this week. Went to Brewdog today. Very good scene and friendly vibe. Beers were quite good, even went for the 41% Sink the Bismark. Told the staff I was from Columbus, to say they are pumped about the Columbus brewery and expansion to America is an understatement. This is a good thing people.April 27, 2015 12:59 pm at 12:59 pm in reply to: Interactive Play hours at Scioto Mile Fountain Changed #1073685
This is denying all people from using the fountain after 7:30, not just children. Plus, in the summertime it does not get dark until later in the evening and the temperatures do not cool off at night in the city. Putting velvet ropes around a city asset because of noise complaints in a public park is not the way to satisfy the needs of all its citizens.
Parks and recreation needs to reevaluate this policy.
I miss the ignore feature most of all.
So skinned kittens are allowed, along with the poutine. Got it.
True, it is not any of our business. Except when there’s a fluff piece on the Dispatch today that tells only part of the story. True, we’re not going to know the whole story. Both sides deserve respect. Laura always treated us well, even more so when I had my autistic son with us. The staff at the Jury Room were always decent and kind. They should be treated with some fairness as well. There is no way I want to see any of the CFL businesses fail, and take no pleasure in it.
Yes MichaelC, “she herself has sought transparency from others when situations have necessitated it.”
Not vilifying anyone. Would like to see the staff get paid, and for this situation to get resolved. It sucks closing a business, but it’s not cool when your front line employees take a huge hit as well.
What I have seen in this corresponding thread on facebook is not anonymous. There’s smoke.August 14, 2014 7:35 am at 7:35 am in reply to: A good way to wreck a local economy: build casinos #1034553
There has not been anything resembling a national act in that casino for well over a year. Nothing but tribute and cover bands, at best.
Nice place.February 26, 2014 12:15 pm at 12:15 pm in reply to: Columbus City Schools – News, Updates, and Discussion #327002
Bravo, Anne. Bravo.
Giving Bob a rest for the evening. McElhinney did a great job. It’s good to keep the backup ready, you never know.
The final scene with Skyler and Walt was beautifully acted and directed. A very satisfying and honest finale. A big smile came across my face at the opening chords of Baby Blue.
