Went for a sneak peak at the Grandview Yard location today. It looks pretty impressive. It officially opens tomorrow. I am thinking of joning this gym or Short North Fitness (which I think opens next Saturday). Urban Active has a big lead in the bang for your buck category. It seems very easy to get to with free parking. All around an A+.
Pizza is great! It is not donatos or domino’s :( (choreographed delivery)expect to wait. It seems a not ready for prime time, lack of business savy, pizza with a very good (delicious) to eat taste. I will spread the word. In the long run I think they need to to think more on terms of what the customer thinks (aka wants). I think they may need to partner with someone to get the complete package (as far as what is expected of a business in current times).
$60 bike with a $30 lock :)
I was thinking about doing it, but was told you have to guarantee $1000 in sponsorships to ride, with that backed up with a credit card number. I wish they had lower amounts.
Brad, I am a bit confused.
To take advantage of the classes on top of the building (rooftop pool deck) after September you have to be a resident of the Jackson? Are the pool and deck available to gym members who are not residents of the Jackson? The wording of your posts seems vague. When I heard you say ‘spa like’ things liks sauna’s and pools come to mind (spa = moisten), are these features only available to gym members who are residents? Does the gym have a sauna? Is there a two tiered system of membership – residents/non-residents with features omitted?

Classes by the pool beyond September will be for Jackson residents only.
Didn’t know that the pool and rooftop deck would be available to gym members, this is something that can’t be beat. Sounds spa like to me! Other gyms have pools, but not with city views.
