The vibe is just 180 degrees from the one on campus, which I kinda lived at as a grad student lol….it’s just very West Virginia highway exit-ish, not my thing at all. Not to say I haven’t bought donuts there. But to sit IN there? No. Way.well dorthy, you ain’t on campus anymore lol. like i said ive never had problem one sitting in there. everyone was nice. it’s nothing to be scared of lol. they’re just people.
maybe they were not friendly when you were in there because they picked up your vibe? who knows.
either way, let me know if you want to go and i can escort you ;)
A mile away….is not close! Probably not too bad in the spring, if that ever comes. But it’d be nice to have a closer option.
close is relative lol. but no, i definitely understand what you’re saying. sometimes you just dont wanna walk 20 minutes to get somewhere.

I guess that one strip joint right in the middle of the subdivision off 161 counts. I went back there to turn around once and was like, “Holy shit! Wasn’t expecting that!”haha yeah, i forget the name of that place off the top of my head.

Bethel & Sawmill is an intersection.yes. yes it is. so is 5th and northwest, but somehow they get to be a neighborhood?
semantics aside, you know what i meant.
i was referring to this line right here:
Downtown Columbus may get a strip club that some say would thwart the steps being taken to make the area a true neighborhood.
it raises questions like: what is a “true neighborhood”? who gets to define it? do the people who live near bethel and sawmill not live in “true neighborhoods”? what about the people who live in san margherita near PD? is that a “false neighborhood”?
captain janksParticipantwas expecting this

absolute nonsense. ive been in there THOUSANDS of times and no one has ever been anything other than friendly to me.
cup o joe is not really very far either. its about a one mile walk from BP to cup o joe. would probably take you maybe 20 minutes tops. if you’re just looking for a place to pop in, get a cup of mud in the AM and get out, then yeah, that’s a bit of a hike… but that’s why the coffee machine was invented lol. if you’re looking for a place to just hang out with your macbook while you work on your novel, then walk it out. the walk will be good for you ;)
captain janksParticipantfinally! now i won’t have to drive all the way to sawmill to make it rain!
according to that article, bethel and sawmill is not a “true neighborhood” whatever that means lol
captain janksParticipantnext on the list of things to work on… getting rid of the front plate.

it matters very much from where it’s earned. Franklin does not equal Wharton.absolutely.
captain janksParticipantlots of variables. only you can really make the determination if the benefits are worth the costs.
for example, are you taking out loans? is your work paying for it, paying for some of it? if youre going full time, how much salary are you losing by not working during that time?
personally, i think any top 20 school will give you a positive ROI. bottom 100 schools? not so much…
captain janksParticipanthere’s how you get fat. by eating 30,000 calories a day.
based dr phil sets her dumbass friend straight though lol
