Not being able to find a thread of complaints about something specific, and needing to instead post about it in the general pet peave thread.

News channels that redefine sections of the city:
stories this morning about a shooting near 980 Lockbourne Rd.
One station says it is East Columbus, one says it is South.

Then, a second story about a hit and run accident at Livingston and Grant is listed as East Side.

Interestingly enough, it was channel 10 that said both of those areas are East Side. Perhaps it is a stuck macro or something.

The neighborhoods along Livingston Ave (Driving Park, Old Oaks, Southern Orchards, etc.) are east side neighborhoods that are considered in the South Side so technically either is correct. It’s probably confusing for news organizations and viewers. I guess they could always just say “Near Downtown.”
