    Gateway Film Center Plans Week of Harry Potter Before Release of Deathly Hallows Part 2

    The Gateway Film Center is pleased to offer Harry Potter enthusiasts another reason to be excited about the release of HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2. Beginning on Friday, July 8, patrons can watch all seven previous Potter films while enjoying a butterbeer and other Harry Potter treats from the Martini Shot Bistro. Admission is only $5 and each film will play at 12:30 PM, 4:00 PM, and 7:30 PM on the following days:

    Friday, July 8: HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE

    Saturday, July 9: HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS

    Sunday, July 10: HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN

    Monday, July 11: HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE

    Tuesday, July 12: HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX

    Wednesday, July 13: HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE

    Thursday, July 14: HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1

    With ticket purchase, patrons may enter a drawing for 2 passes to a private screening of DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 in the film center’ s newly renovated VIP room on July 14 at 12:01 AM.

    The film center also plans to celebrate the release of DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 with Harry Potter themed activities on Saturday, July 16 from 11 AM to 1 PM in South Campus Gateway (weather permitting) and the film center’ s lobby. All activities will be free and family friendly. On Sunday, July 17, patrons who come dressed as their favorite Harry Potter character will have a chance to win a year’ s worth of movie tickets.

    “We are looking forward to entertaining the crowds of Harry Potter fans with face painting, delicious Potter themed treats, and even butterbeer on draft,” said Mindy Davis, the film center’ s Director of Administration and Planning.“ I am both excited and a little sad to see how this great series of films is going to end. I can’ t wait to experience it right along with our patrons!”
