I agree with Timeone on Pequod’s. My only complaint is it’s about a 20 minute walk from the brown line.

Renaldi’s is excellent (although not deep dish), and closer to the heart of Lincoln Park. http://www.renaldispizzachicago.com/

I’m also a big fan of Art of Pizza http://www.theartofpizzainc.com/.

The Gino’s on Superior is good if you’re down closer to the loop.

If the Fullerton buses aren’t clusterfucked together, you can take that to within a couple blocks of Pequod’s.
And the Boiler Room has absolutely fantastic thin crust pizza, along with Jameson soft serve. Use their ATM and you get a free shot of Jameson too. http://boilerroomlogansquare.com/

Can anyone recommend any good sushi in Columbus that’s actually in Tokyo?

I really enjoyed this place last time I was in Tokyo:

Highly recommend it. Best Columbus Sushi in Tokyo, hands down.

In other news, the best Thai place in Columbus is probably in Thailand.

Since Paul is from BC, I thought I’d chime in. A very popular place is Sushi Dai at Tsukiji fish market but there are some other great stalls in that area without the long line. I forgot the name of the place where I ate but it was early morning after the auctions. The simple chirashi (bowl with rice and lots of fish) I had was amazing and one of the most memorable breakfasts ever. Sushi isn’t that big of a thing in Japan. A lot of restaurants will offer a tuna roll so they treat it more like French fries. Just a side offering. That’s why Kihachi is highly regarded for it’s cuisine in Columbus and it’s not a lot of sashimi, nigiri and maki rolls.

I live 2 minutes from Wholly Joes. I think I know what I’m having for dinner tonight.
