Ugly Tuna Saloona, OSU campus, Blackened Tuna Tacos

Yeah, but then you have to be inside Ugly Tuna. I’d rather have my head shoved inside one of those ridiculous fishbowls they serve those drinks in and then be beaten to death with a golf club. :)

I have never heard a good thing about that place

Hence the golf club beatdown request should I ever have to set foot in there again.
    Ever.

Yeah, but it’s better than stinkin’ my place up with tuna and blackening spices. Ever tried to blacken something inside without an exhaust hood?

Besides, I try to go there when the young and obnoxious puke factories are in class or are on holiday leave at mommy’s and daddy’s.

I’d prefer the smell of burnt tuna to drunken sorostitute any day of the week ;)

They may not have as many beers as Bodgea, but Mad Mex has some great great stuff on tap. (avoid all food other than the chicken wings)

Mad Max has a spicy pepita hummus wrap that I can’t get enough of. It’s not authentically Mexican by any stretch, but I think it’s yummy.

Their tofu tacos are REALLY good& I totally did not expect or want to like this place. Go during off hours for sure but it’s worth checking out especially if you like good beers& are a vegetarian or vegan.

    Well that reminds me:

St. James Tavern, order in Adriatico’s to go with your $3.50 pints of good beer.

I haven’t had Adriatico’s in years, but I remember it being really flavorful. Is it still one of the better pies in town?

I can’t take the O’Reilly’s bashing. For the past 10 years, Tom the bartender has been, hands down, the best bartender I’ve encountered. The burgers, the wings, the true alcoholics!

If I could start this thread over I would have also excluded short north establishments in general, not because I am against them (I frequent some), but because they are overrepresented. I’m looking for the less known, local yokel type places.

    My next stop- Jonnie’s Tavern.

I’ve also seen some love for Gallo’s Tap Room on other threads, gonna hit that up as well

I like it – last time I had it (at the SJT of course) it was good. It’s definitely a heavier pizza but damn good when you are in the mood for that kind of pie.

Jonnie’s is great and the guy who owns it is top notch too.

I need to read more carefully! :)
I know, I am such a hermit, it’s terrible. Pizzabeer sounds like an awesome idea.
