It seems great that they’re bringing in these artists for free, but I could see people getting soured on the whole thing pretty quickly, considering the fact that it seems to get too crowded and hectic to enjoy yourself.

First time to the casino and the Village People were there. We we’re lucky enough to get a seat @ the bar but many were not, it was very busy.

We went to see Sheena Easton on Friday night. It was crowded, but not overly so. First time in the casino and it was not a horrible experience. We ended up spending about what we would on a movie and snacks for two and a half hours of slots, people watching, a couple of drinks and Sheena.

I can imagine a big crowd in there turning people off though.

    April Shows:
As the weather warms up, Hollywood Casino Columbus is also
bringing on the spring fever with a hot April entertainment lineup. From hard rock American
bands to country-soul musicians the casino introduces performances from all musical ages.
Entertainment and music performances include Survivor, War, James Otto, Landau Eugene
    Murphy, and comedian Louie Anderson.

Nashville‟s breakout star James Otto kicks off the casino‟s second country music appearance in
o.h. lounge on Saturday, April 6 at 9pm. James‟ country-soul style is loved by all country music
fans. James is a Grammy-nominated musician, known for his greatest hit “Just Got Started
Loving You,” which was declared the No. 1 country single of 2008 by Billboard.

From “Family Feud” to the Emmy-winning animated series “Life with Louie,” a comedy hour
isn‟t complete without the one and only Louie Anderson. Louie is one of the most adored and
respected comedians today bringing his clean family-friendly humor to audiences around the
country. Louie currently appears on ABC‟s newest television series “Splash” (formerly titled
Celebrity Diving). Louie Anderson performs live in the Event Center on Friday, April 12 at 8pm.
Tickets are available at the casino‟s Studio Store for $24.99 and $34.99.

One of the first and most successful American bands of all time, War, will heat up the music
scene in o.h. on Friday, April 19 at 9pm. War is an ever-evolving American funk band from
California, known for the hit songs “Low Rider,” “Spill the Win,” “The World is a Ghetto,” and
    “Why Can‟t We Be Friends?”

If there‟s one rock „n roll hit in history that music lovers of all generations will never forget, it‟s
“Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor. American hard rock band Survivor is back and ready to rock out
their Billboard Top 20 hits like “Eye of the Tiger,” “I Can‟t Hold Back,” and “High on You” in
o.h. lounge on Saturday, April 20 at 9pm. “It feels great to be back with Frankie and the band,
singing the song that fans love,” says Jimi Jamison.

In addition to Survivor, Hollywood Casino guests can continue the experience of rock with Rock
& Roll Hall of Fame inductees and R&B Pioneer Award Winners, The Family Stone. This group
is making its way to Columbus to perform their original sound and raw funk hits like “I want to
Take You Higher,” “Everyday People,” and “Dance to the Music.” The Family Stone performs
live Saturday, April 13 at 9pm in o.h. lounge.

Country rock lives on as Hollywood Casino also hosts American country rock band, McGuffey
Lane from Central Ohio. McGuffey Lane was founded in 1972 and in 1980 they‟re first self-
titled album reached No.1 in Columbus. McGuffey lane performs their greatest hits like “Long
Time Lovin‟ You,” “People Like You,” and “Do You Think About Me” on Saturday, April 27 at
    9pm in o.h. lounge.

Hollywood Casino presents their 4th installment of “o.h. Unplugged” with NBC‟s 2011
“America‟s Got Talent” winner, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Many have compared Landau‟s
smooth vocals and phrasing to that of Frank Sinatra. Landau has been performing to sell-out
audiences and standing ovations since winning the America‟s Got Talent crown. He has
headlined at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, sold out the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York,
and performed for ESPN at the Superbowl and Madison Square Garden. Landau performs in o.h.
on Sunday, April 28 at 6:30pm.

Hollywood Casino Columbus guests can enjoy many more live music performances and
entertainment groups free of charge throughout the month at o.h. lounge located in the heart of

I love the “ever evolving” line. Which might mean that there is one original member and the original drum tech left in the band. That always cracks me up.

I think its pretty much the original lineup minus Eric Burdon.
