In case you wondered what the inside of one of those things looks like…

I worked at McDs when I was 15. The mcRib comes precooked (just like the grilled chicken, shocker I know! :p) and the “cooks” just nuke them for a few mins to thaw them out. Then dump BBQ sauce on them and ta-da! I could never eat them because they smelled something awful coming out of the microwaves, but you guys have at it.

it’s a love or hate thing.

Goddamnit Lew, now I may not be able to go eat one. Or at least not without gagging once.

Once you get the first bite in, you’ll probably be ok.
    Maybe.
Unless you bite into one of those chunky, gristly looking bits from the picture. ;)
Just order it with extra sauce and think about your happy place.

One of the weird circular pink bits near the middle of the bottom picture keeps reminding me of a chocolat chip. A horrible processed meat-like chip.

I must harvest these chips and bake them in cookies of my own!

I had one last week. I kinda hyped it in my head since I hadn’t had one since high school, but alas it tasted very bland and forgettable. I doubt I’d buy another.

Have at it, everyone. I can’t even stand the smell of them. P. picked on up on the way home the other day, and I had to roll down my window and stick my head out of it to keep from barfing.

I also do not understand the hype. I remember having one as a kid – back in the dark ages – and it was so full of inedible gristle that I tossed it after one bite.

That, and I mostly despise bottled bbq sauce.

    Blech. *making stinky face*

Gristle makes me gag, it’s one reason why I seldom buy ground meat. Hello, Chop-Rite #10.

As for the BBQ sauce, there are good local providers like CaJohn.
