So I guess this thread hasn’t been updated in a long while. The Commissary is now located in Marble Cliff and they’re in the final hours of a very successful Kickstarter campaign. They’ve raised over $45,000 of their $40,000 goal. There’s still time to donate though, and their rewards are pretty great (as are their stretch goals).

    Here’s their new website:

    And here’s their Kickstarter:

Full disclosure…I am friends with Kate…

Regardless…I am super excited about this project and can see its potential in making Columbus a food destination not just for foodies who enjoy eating (our restaurant/food truck scene is great!) but for foodies, chef’s and the next aspiring Food Network Star.

I know Kate was very thoughtful when putting together the rewards, and I love seeing all of the local support, Mead making classes from Brother’s Drake, beer brewing from Actual Brewery, Kenny and Misako returning to Columbus etc.,

Back in 2012, Kate Djupe had a dream of opening up a kitchen incubator facility in the up-and-coming Franklinton neighborhood. Two years later, The Commissary is officially opening, but the project has been relocated to 1400 Dublin Road in the Marble Cliff area, and with that move comes a sizable expansion as well.
