Since Sunday, they’ve shifted work back to the south side of the Spring Street Bridge, opening the north side of it for through-traffic. Which means the brand new sidewalk is open to pedestrians. Some photos from last night:October 30, 2013 6:30 pm at 6:30 pm #494074

Long and Spring Street Bridges to be Completed this Summer

The Spring Street Bridge will not have a landscaped cap, but will have rows of planters, sidewalks and a bike lane in addition to three lanes for car traffic. Both the Long and Spring Street Bridges will feature terraces meant to enhance the pedestrian experience.
