    Next meeting: November 19

Come to STAY’s next group meeting to learn more about the good things happening at Stewart Elementary and its grand reopening. Hear from Principal Ebone Johnson, meet current Stewart parents and other school representatives, and learn more about how Southside STAY is partnering with Stewart Elementary.

If you want to STAY in this neighborhood, but are still trying to think through the right school option for your kids, plan on attending this important meeting.

While Stewart is the oldest school still operating in Columbus (first opened in 1874), with a rich history and tradition, the building has now been beautifully restored and is ready to be once again filled with excited students ready to learn.

Join us on Wednesday, November 19 to learn more about Stewart…where your kids can walk to school and thrive.

If you have a child that will enter kindergarten in the next few years, we’d love to connect with you. Send us an email! [email protected]

There is also childcare for those who need it (compliments of Cross City Church). To RSVP for childcare, email: [email protected].

See you November 19 at the German Village Meeting Haus!

The founder of Southside STAY has decided it was time to go. Matt Eshelbrenner, who helped encourage Columbus City Schools to make Stewart Alternative Elementary School a partial neighborhood school, has moved out of the German Village area.

“Honestly it was very tough decision,” Eshelbrenner said of he and his wife, Nicole, moving to Bexley with their two children.
